Broken Power Jack
ALT

The Casio Privia PX-130 was introduced in 2009.  The 25 pound, 88 key, Tri-sensor scaled, hammer-action piano was the first entry-level Privia with "Linear Morphing", a technology that helps the concert grands, for example, to transition smoothly from soft pianissimos to powerful fortissimos.

This particular PX-130 came into the shop with a broken power jack, preventing the connection of the power adapter.

ALT

Here you see the broken power jack.

ALT

This is the replacement power jack.

The jack is coaxial ‒ that is, a conducting tube surrounds an insulated center contact.

This jack's center contact is female and the power cord's plug has a male center pin.  Other jacks, however, have a male center pin and the plug has the female contact.
