Yamaha® DGX-530, YPG-535 3:  Disconnecting the "AM" Board

To access the foil side of the DGX-530's AM circuit board, we must disconnect three cables that restrict the board's movement.

The three cables go to connectors 102, 104, and 204 (see right).

Connectors

Connector 204 is shown here.

This connector has two slide locks, one on each end, that grip the cable.

CN204 locked

To disconnect the cable, you must slide up the lock on each end of the connector (see right).

CN204 unlocked

After the sliders are unlocked, you can pull the ribbon cable out of the connector.

CN204 disconnected

Connector 102, seen here, also operates with slide locks.

CN102 disconnected

Connector 104 attaches to a flat flexible cable (FFC) with no locks ‒ this cable is held by friction only.

CN104 connected

Here, the FFC has been pulled from CN104.
