DIY
Repair
Stories

Richard Diemer began repairing electric guitars, amps, keyboards, and synthesizers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1973.  In 1980, he moved his repair business to Studio City, California.

In the late 1980s he developed music software for Commodore-Amiga multitasking PCs.

In the late 1990s, Diemer launched this website to document repair stories and share resources.

He later expanded the site to include replacement parts and answers to infrequently asked questions.

Richard continues to develop the  BustedGear.com  website but is not currently taking in repair work.
