Replacing a Broken Volume Pot
64-Voice Classic Keyboard
E-Mu Vintage Keys

You don't see many of these!

Classic sounds of the '60s, '70s, and '80s from the engine of an early '90s rompler in a '03 keyboard.

E-MU put a great selection of vintage keyboard samples from their Proteus hardware into this tweak-able "Vintage Keys" keyboard.

Vintage Keys Controller pots

These are the four rotary Controller pots used in the E-MU Vintage Keys.

All the Controllers, including the Volume, use the same 10kΩ, linear-taper pot, which we have AVAILABLE HERE.

This story documents the replacement of a bad Vintage Keys volume pot.

The pot had a wobbly shaft that was making popping noises and causing the volume to cut out.
